Day 108 to 114 – Harry’s Game!

Before I update my activities can I first thank Maxine for her kind words and support. After 114 days is so good to know people are still being influenced by the Blog … thank you. xx

This week I took Harry Tenpin bowling. Harry simply loves bowling and, to be fair, he is very good at it. Most of the games we play are close, but my competitive streak means I do my very best to beat him; which I usually do.

Anyway, this week I met my Alamo big time as he ‘took me to the cleaners’. He played brilliantly; and didn’t he know it! He had the biggest smile on his face and said the word ‘Happy’ over and over gain.

It appears that Harry also has a competitive streak …. well done mate!

Motivation for ‘’My Ten-a-day’

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.

Approaching the boy, he asked, “What are you doing?”

The youth replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”

“Son,” the man said, “don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make a difference!”
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said, “I made a difference for that one.”
